Imiloa Institute’s Costa Rica location was actually the second planned location. After regulations on Maui, Hawai’i didn’t allow Imiloa’s first location to be built on the Hawaiian Island, we moved our second location into first position. We couldn’t be more happy with the decision.

Our goal is to provide the education and training needed to help people become the best versions of themselves through positive changes to their daily routines. We want you to experience the true meaning of peace and clarity while on one of our many retreats, where you can host transformational workshops as a leader or master of what you do. Bringing people together for self-healing and personal development is what we do best.

Imiloa was envisioned as an “intercontinental institute for the education and advancement of humanity,” according to Jake Sasseville, CEO and Imiloa visionary.

As our organization continues to grow and expand, we have plans to add six more locations in different countries within the next five years. We are perfecting our processes, leadership vision (through a spirit of service and posture of learning) and client experience at our first location. From there, we’ll look at a second location in Costa Rica in a totally different environment. We’ll ensure we’re ready for continued scaling up and work with our team and investor partners to continue to expand Imiloa’s vision.

Adding institutes across the globe enables us to reach a much broader audience — our BHAG (big hairy audacious goal) is to impact the lives of 1 billion people by helping them return to nature to learn something new about themselves and the world around them by 2052.

Our retreats have transformed the lives of so many over the years. A spark on their journey of personal development.

We're on a mission to bring personal growth and development to every country across the globe. No matter the location, each retreat includes life-changing workshops, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to create some of the most breathtaking memories. For our hosts, they’ll be able to receive the same great Imiloa service but have alternatives when choosing where in the world to bring their groups.

The Imiloa Experience is like nothing experienced before. We want to make sure we are ready for expansion, including our people and process. Our commitment to excellence has allowed us to serve more hosts and we’re excited to smartly expand together. If you’d like to be involved in our expansion, please email core@imiloainstitute.com and tell us how!
